Let us take you to the train stations

Our experience in transportation throughout Cusco and Peru has made us aware that not all tourists wish to go directly to their destinations. They prefer to make stops along the way to take photos or rest. We have enhanced our passengers’ experience.

We have created the “Transfer with Stops” service, a private transportation with a driver that allows for stops at significant locations during the car journey, not only to train stations but also for trips to other destinations in Peru.

We provide comfortable transfers to the train stations in Cusco, with luxury vehicles and professional drivers for a safe and high-quality experience.

These services can be used both for traveling to Machu Picchu and returning to the hotel in the city of Cusco.

Now, let’s explore the 5 train stations from which you can take the train to visit Machu Picchu.

The Poroy Train Station

This train station, located in Poroy, is the main departure point for luxury trains. It is open to travelers for most of the year but closes during the rainy season (from January to April) due to landslides along the tracks. During its opening hours, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, passengers can wait in the lobby, enjoy facilities like bathrooms and parking, and savor a coca tea while awaiting their journey. The journey from Poroy to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

This station is about 10.8 kilometers (6.7 miles) away from Cusco, and Cusco Transport offers an exclusive transfer service to the station. They also have the option of a “Cusco transfer with stops” that allows for photo stops along the way to Poroy.
