HUMANTAY LAKE ADVENTURE HIKE

OVERVIEW:

Humantay Lake (4200 m.) is located about 75 miles from Cusco and tucked between the snow-capped Humantay Mountain and Salkantay Mountain. Enjoy an adventure hike in the Peruvian Andes surrounded by nature to explore the brilliant pristine Humantay Lake.

ITINERARY:

Today enjoy the Humantay Lake Tour from Cusco. Depart Cusco with your guide in private transportation to the town of Mollepata on a paved road for approx. 2 hours. From here we continue for another hour to Soraypampa the starting point of your hike. Walk up to Humantay lake for about 1 hour or more depending on your ability, in a loop gazing at nature, the lovely birds and Peruvian Andes.

Finally, you will come upon the spectacular vision of Humantay Lake with its pristine turquoise-colored waters fed by the looming Salkantay and Humantay ice-capped mountains. Explore the lake and take many pictures of the emerald colored sparkling waters and the incredible landscapes. After a wonderful time, retrace your route back to the waiting vehicle and depart back to Cusco.
