A sensational day traveling to the Southern Valley of Cusco, Peru.
We will drive up a hill to the Inca site of Tipon with many water channels and where the Inca irrigation system is still operative. The town of Tipon is known for the Cuy (guinea pig) so if you want to try it let us know. Continue driving to Pikillaqta the pre-Incan ruins occupied by the Wari Civilizatio with adobe ruins. We move on to the nearby ruins Rumi Colca seldom visited resembling an imposing stone gate. Our final visit will be to the Andahuaylillas San Pedro with its colonial ornaments and lovely facets. On our way back to Cusco stop by the Huacarpay lake to catch sight of some bird species and top by Oropesa known for its home-baked bread.
