Our Lima City Tour takes you through some of the most important areas and landmarks of the city, including the modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, the Historic Center of Lima, and the impressive Larco Museum.

Lima is home to important archaeological sites that have endured alongside the growth of the modern city. During the tour, we will make a brief stop to admire the exterior of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid-shaped temple located in the heart of modern Lima.

We will then continue to the Historic Center of Lima, where you can admire remarkable examples of Spanish colonial architecture and visit some of the city’s most important historical landmarks. The Historic Center of Lima was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.

The experience continues with a visit to Larco Museum Lima, housed in an 18th-century viceregal mansion. The museum features an impressive collection of pre-Columbian Peruvian art, including objects made of gold and silver, providing an opportunity to learn about the ancient civilizations that developed throughout Peru.

ITINERARY:

Lima City Tour: Miraflores, San Isidro and Huaca Pucllana

In the morning, we will begin our Lima City Tour from your hotel and explore the city historically known as the City of Kings.

We will drive through the modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, making a brief stop to admire the exterior of Huaca Pucllana. This pre-Inca pyramid-shaped temple has gracefully endured alongside the expansion of modern Lima, offering a fascinating glimpse into the city’s ancient past.

We will then continue our City Tour Lima experience, passing through Olive Grove Park and the Financial Center, allowing you to appreciate the modern side of Peru’s capital.

Historic Center of Lima

Next, we will continue to the Historic Center of Lima for a walking tour beginning at Plaza San Martín. From here, we will admire the historic Spanish colonial architecture and continue toward Plaza Mayor, one of the most important historic squares in Lima.

During our walk, we will see several of Lima’s most notable landmarks, including the Presidential Palace, Lima Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, and Desamparados Train Station.

Our visit to the historic center will conclude at the San Francisco Catacombs, an important historical attraction located in the heart of colonial Lima.

Larco Museum and Peruvian Lunch

After exploring the Historic Center of Lima, we will continue to the Larco Museum for a delicious Peruvian lunch at the museum café.

After lunch, we will tour the museum and explore its remarkable collection of Peruvian art and archaeological objects from different ancient civilizations.
