ITINERARY:
Cusco to Pisac
Your Extended Sacred Valley Day Tour begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We travel toward the Sacred Valley, enjoying scenic views of the Andes as we descend toward the valley.
Our first destination is Pisac, one of the most important archaeological sites in the region. Located high above the valley, the Pisac ruins offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and agricultural terraces.
With your guide, explore the ancient Inca complex and learn about its terraces, ceremonial areas, settlements, and other archaeological remains. After visiting the ruins, continue to the town of Pisac, where you can browse local handicrafts and traditional Andean products.
Maras Salt Mines
From Pisac, continue through the scenic landscapes of the Sacred Valley toward the Maras Salt Mines.
Thousands of small salt pools cover the mountainside, creating one of the most distinctive landscapes in the Cusco region. The salt is produced from naturally saline spring water that flows into the pools and gradually evaporates under the Andean sun.

Chinchero — If Returning to Cusco
If you are returning to Cusco, the final stop can be Chinchero, time permitting.
This traditional Andean town is known for its archaeological remains, colonial church, textile traditions, and beautiful mountain scenery. During the visit, you may have the opportunity to observe a traditional textile weaving demonstration and learn about the techniques and natural dyes used by local artisans.
After visiting Chinchero, continue the journey back to Cusco.
